We’re excited to share Growing the Movement, the final report of the Girls Positive and Safe Coaching Pathway 2025/2026!
Following a successful first year, the Pathway continued to grow in its second cycle, bringing together more coaches, trainers and organisations committed to creating safer, more positive and inclusive sporting experiences for girls around the world.
Another Year of Growth and Achievements
Throughout the 2025–2026 cycle, we worked alongside our Implementing Partners and trainers to deliver workshops, support coaches and bring the Pathway into communities across the world.
Together, we achieved:
- 1,282 coaches trained from 75 countries
- 55 workshops delivered across 14 countries and online
- 47 Local Trainers working alongside four Regional Trainers and 11 Implementing Partners
- Over 63,000 benefificiaris, including more than 41,700 girls and women, engaged through the activities of Pathway-trained coaches
And the impact of the training goes beyond the workshops themselves. In our follow-up surveys, 93% of coaches reported applying Pathway strategies in their coaching, while 88% observed positive changes in the experiences of the girls and women they coach.
The Stories Behind the Numbers
Behind these achievements are the people who make the Pathway possible.
Our report brings together stories and experiences from our Implementing Partners, trainers and coaches, showing how the Pathway has been adapted and applied in different communities and sporting environments.
The report also explores what coaches have learned, the challenges they continue to face and the lessons that will help us strengthen the programme in the years ahead.
The Journey Continues!
While we celebrate the achievements of the past year, the Pathway is already moving forward!
Our 2026–2027 cycle is underway, with another cycle planned for 2027–2028. We’re looking forward to building on the progress made so far, supporting more coaches and continuing to create positive sporting experiences for girls.
